In an effort to combat congestion and smog, Los Angeles is sponsoring an electric vehicle carsharing program for low income areas, hoping to take over 1,000 cars off the road. This EV carsharing project will be available to residents who cannot afford cars of their own, but live in areas with poor access to the city’s public transit networks.
